December 14th Market

Come find your favorite farmers and vendors at the indoor market this Saturday! We will be in the cozy Main St. School auditorium every second and fourth Saturday through May, including Dec. 28th. This Saturday, we are getting into the holiday spirit with some guest vendors to help you with your gift list and house decor.

C-LOS Carpentry is bringing exquisite cutting boards and unique, hand-turned bowls and vases. Mobius Fields, a small farm in Katonah, is bringing festive garlands and wreaths so you can gussy up your home for the holidays.

We’d like to welcome some new vendors this winter. We are thrilled that DiRiso Rice Balls (formerly Lasagna Preziosa) is joining the market in the colder months. They will be bringing their ever-popular arancini, piping hot rice balls stuffed with porcini.

Also joining us, Growing Hearts Farm, a small, diversified vegetable & herb farm in Pawling specializing in year-round greens production. They believe that the healthiest food comes from the healthiest ecologies, starting with the soil and so they intensively rotate their crops,  and remineralize their soils, replenishing the nutrients and biology each year.

Kimchi Kooks will be cooking up sizzling scallion and zucchini pancakes and selling their farm to table kimchi.

Luxx Chocolat will be a regular vendor this winter. Her Game of Thrones-inspired Dragon Eggs, salted caramel bars and superfood bark bars make great Hannukah gifts or stocking stuffers. And, they and are made with fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients free of preservatives and artificial flavors.

If there’s a tea lover in your life, make sure to pick up an assortment of handcrafted teas from teagevity. Who wouldn’t want to find a gift box filled with white peony, linden flower or rose petal tea?

Going to a holiday party this weekend? Any host/hostess would appreciate a fruit tart from Fraternite Notre Dame or an apple pie from Pie Lady & Son.

Any farmer’s market fan would be enjoy a Helvetica-style shirt listing common market ingredients. The fun with these shirts is figuring out the connection between the items listed. We have them in three categories (protein, vegetal and fruit) and in all sizes from onesies to XL. Our cool market logo is on the back. They make great gifts and they’re super soft, too!  Only $15!

A few members of the Hudson Valley Singers will be popping in at around 10:30 to sing some winter & holiday songs. They are bringing extra song sheets of music in the hope that some of you will join in. Then, Al Indig will perform on the stage from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

As always, we’d like to thank People’s Bank for sponsoring the market’s musical entertainment and Urgent Care of Westchester for sponsoring the compost collection.

This year we are happy to announce that our winter market will run through May so there isn’t a huge gap between our last winter market and first summer market. Yay!

See you at the market!
