Come in from the cold!

Screen Shot 2017-03-08 at 12.50.36 PMWinter still has a grip on the Northeast- snow and cold temperatures this weekend. Warm up at the indoor market with a hot cup of tea from teagevity. Try the Turmeric Chai.

Spoon Me will have warm soup for on-site tasting and frozen soup to stock your freezer with. Try the Caribbean Pumpkin or Thai Carrot Coconut for an easy meal to warm you up after a day spent shoveling or sledding. Or both! You know who else has soup? Pure Vida! They’re bringing their fresh chowders and crab cakes that can easily be heated at home.

Did you try the cooking demo samples two weeks ago? If not you missed out but luckily the succotash is easy to recreate at home. Start off with some chopped rutabaga, onion, and celeriac from Sun Sprout and Wright’s Honey Crisp apples. Sauté in olive oil for 20-25 minutes and spoon on to a Wave Hill baguette. Top it off with McGrath’s cheese and Deep Roots sprouts.

Lastly, the knife sharpener will be at the market. Get ready for the bounty of spring and summer with sharp cutlery!

See you at the market!
